Latest additions - AGM and Wine Tasting Event 1st June 2018 at Meggetland - Membership Standing Order now available -

Welcome to the website for the Boroughmuir FPA

1913 to 2018

A tale of two buildings. The old and the new. The one below was opened in 1913 and has served the school well for 104 years. It has provided many fond memories for a lot of former pupils and staff. A fond farewell from all of us who passed through your hallowed gates.

2018 onwards

But times move on and a new generation of pupils and staff will experience the state of the art facilities of the new building below from 2018 onwards. No doubt they will continue to maintain the strong reputation that the school has earned over the past century.

We are delighted to announce that we have launched a new FP Club within the BFPA family. It will be a cultural and historical group that seeks to promote opportunities for current, past Pupils and staff in visiting sites of historical, heritage, cultural, architectural interest.
We are very fortunate to have the Club run and organised by well known FP, Douglas Roxburgh MBE, who has already drawn up a programme of visits with talks where appropriate to run initially from September to December 2017. It is open to all members of the BFPA, any costs for entrance will only be expected where the host organisation has an admission charge, however, we have negotiated a 50% reduction in costs for BFPA members.
Organisations involved so far are The Church of Scotland, the National Trust for Scotland, Riddles Court, The People's Story, Gilmerton Cove Trust, The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland, Edinburgh Street Play, the National Storytelling Centre and the Patrick Geddes Society. If you are interested in learning more about this group then further information and contact details are on the FP Club News menu bar on the left hand side of this page under the Cultural and Historical Club tab.
We are confident that this will prove to be a very popular Club with current and former pupils and staff, their family and friends and the wider membership of the Boroughmuir family of clubs.

Year Group Champions

We are still looking for more Year Group champions to organise reunions with their classmates.
We currently have 8 “champions” and would be keen to hear from more FPs, particularly from the 1970s onwards. We can give help and guidance on how to go about tracing former Year Group classmates.

If you are interested please go to the Contact Us menu on the website.
